First Baptist Manlius

Connecting with the heart of God

Now It's Your Turn

The Nehemiah Envisioning Team has shared a model for how individuals grow as we each follow Jesus through worship, discipleship and service. This past Saturday a group of 32 leaders at First Baptist gathered and explored how we can each grow in this model.

We read a story that was a 2014 testimony of a person, who has not yet arrived at First Baptist. We asked our imaginations to add to this story. Those attending thought of exciting scenarios that God might create through us at First Baptist in the coming years.

For me, the real key to this model is staying attentive to the Holy Spirit in our lives. How do we listen and respond to God's leading?

As a next step, on Saturday morning February 6th we will identify the "growth edges" -- first steps we can take to move forward with this model. Then we will develop action plans to help us intentionally live this model. All are invited to help.
