Our web server automatically records visitor's IP addresses along with the web pages that were visited from that IP address. If you do not send us any additional information, that is the only information that will be collected about your visit. We use that information to collect aggregate information on what pages visitors access or visit so that we discern what is important to the people who visit this site. This helps us to build a more useful site to future visitors.
Cookies are small chunks of unique data that are stored on your computer by a web server for the purpose of identifying one web browser from another. Our site may use cookies to store visitors' preferences, record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit, customize Web page content based on visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends and record login information for users that have special roles on this site. Our cookies are not programs that will cause any harm to your computer. However, if you wish to remove cookies from your hard drive you may do so through your browser settings.
From time to time, we may allow site visitors to volunteer additional information, such as survey information and/or site registrations using forms on this web site or by submitting information via email to us.
In accordance with COPPA, we will not collect or disseminate personally identifying information (full name, home address, email address, telephone number or any other information that would allow someone to identify or contact the child) about children under the age of 13 through this web site. Images of children engaged in church functions or fellowship may be used to promote a sense of church family and identity. However, we will not publish the names of the children under age 13 with their picture as an effort to protect their identity.
Requests for prayer directed through the church prayer chain may be posted to the web site in an abbreviated format that seeks to provide the need for prayer without disclosing too many specifics about an individual or their condition. We recognize that the Website is a broadcast medium and that "less is more" in this setting. If an individual reveals details about their own situation and specifically requests that the prayer request be published on the web, an exception may be granted.
The online calendar and Website may include details of meeting places and times for church related activities. Permission must be granted to the church to publish personal information related to events, such as meeting locations outside of church (particularly if it is someone's home address) and organizer's personal contact information.
We regularly will take pictures of church functions and fellowship of our congregation in formal and candid settings and highlight them through this Website to promote a sense of identity and family to visitors. We will not publish the names of children below the age of 13 with their pictures. We recognize that the use of the congregation's images is a privilege and we will seek to respect that privilege. We will only feature photos of the congregation in public or publicized events and will seek to display images that are not embarrassing to individuals. We will gladly remove a picture form the Website if someone in it objects. If you do not wish to have your image anywhere on the Website, please follow the instructions in the "What to do if you have concerns" section below.
The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Website or to help facilitate communication among the church congregation. We will not disclose this information with any other organization unless legally required to do so, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our Website and applicable laws or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our Website.
